Morning Bible Study
A JOY OF LIVING Bible Study on the Book of James will begin on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. The study will begin at 9:30 a.m.. Please contact Karen Bloomfield at (310) 410-8011 or Holly DeJoy at (310) 641-0606 for information.
Evening Bible Study
Women's Evening Bible Study will be starting again on March 4. Robin Ann Fabros and Anne Spaulding will team up to teach the Inward Disciplines during this 3-month study. It will be the same curriculum as the June '08 Disciplines Class concentrating on: Meditation, Study, Fasting, and Prayer. We will meet every other Wednesday night from 7-8:30 p.m. There is a $10 materials fee. Sign ups will be Sunday Feb. 15 and 22.
MOPS – Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS is a ministry to women and their families that aims to nurture moms of infants, toddlers and preschoolers by meeting their distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. Come and join us for brunch, a fun time to meet and connect with other moms, and to hear speakers talk about issues that are relevant at this stage of life. MOPS meets the first, third and fifth Friday of the month throughout the school year from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Childcare is provided. We also have a Mom’s Night Out on the second Thursday of the month, and will be having informal field trips with our kids throughout the year. HOLIDAY IDEA HOUSE
Start your Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season early. All ladies between ages 15 and 115 are invided to get some fresh new ideas and inspiration for the 2009 holiday season at FBCWLA's second annual Holiday Idea House, Saturday, November 14th, 2009. Early Registration begins October 11-18th, cost $25. Registration at the door is $30 and begins at 1:30 p.m. the day of the event. Activies run from 2:00-7:00 p.m.
Purpose of Women’s Ministries at FBCWLA
Our purpose is to introduce women to Jesus Christ and help them become His fully devoted followers by studying and applying God’s Word. Our focus is to encourage, to equip and to provide service opportunities for women of all ages to glorify and honor God in their homes, church, community and world.
